Of Might and Magic

Haelynn sense Keena Sera's energy growing closer. Perhaps she would be saved.

"Yes."

Keena cut down the last enemy in her path and saw Siah with the Princess. "Haelynn get out of the way!" She called as she threw a blast of silver light at Siah.

Siah turned and raised his right hand, the silver blast hit it and dissipated.

Without so much as a movement he descended. "Princess, hold your ground. I come baring gifts, but first I need to take something!" He drew his sword when his feet landed.

Haelynn dropped to the ground and sprinted across to where Keena had just slewn the magician. She held her amulet in her hand.

"Despar." She vanished into thin air.

Keena leapt from her mount both blades ready, her anger growing in her as her side began to burn again. "You say you bring gifts as you destroy her lands and people, what a romantic Siah." She said. "But perhaps you would take a kiss from me!" She threw a larger blast this time, not even noticing that it was not exacltly silver, but a silver red.

Siah closed his eyes. He could sense Haelynn's every move as if she were perfectly visible.

Siah stood his ground and never flinched... the blast of energy hit him full force! There was a red smoke in the air. When the smoke cleared, Siah was standing as though nothing had happened. He laughed and ran at Keena.

Keena's rage grew even stronger as the pain began to turn to pleasure in her side. She had never felt like this before, but thoughts on that could wait. Siah needed to be destroyed. She charged right back at him, a red-silver aura growing around her as her eyes switched to amber once more.

Haelynn dodged around the demon and ran to where Kady was lying limp on the ground. She picked up her body and it became invisible along with the bearer. She ran deeper into the woods and didn't stop until the smell of blood and sound of battle disipated into nothingness. She concentrated and detected no nearby energies besides the distant fluctuation of those of Keena and the demon.

She ripped open Kady's tunic and pressed her amulet to it. "Curar." The wound began to close.

"Anger! She needs more anger!" Siah shot a long, sustained and searing flame at Keena, his eyes were now open.

Once Kady had regained consciousness and was able to sit up, Haelynn whistled into the forest. A black leopard appeared out of the foliage.

"Ixenjii. Can you carry Kady to Haven?"

'Of course,' he responded telepathically.

Staying out of range of the Celestial's melee attacks, Siah sent the darkest magicks her way with fire balls and flames lighting up the immediate area.

He laughed again and again.

Destiny watched the battle between the Demon and Keena, she pulled her daggers out of thin air, she started attacking the enemy.

Keena had indeed become furious with his attacks and they way he laughed at her. However it seemed that magic that would have once injured and killed him now only tickled him. Why was her magic not working? Her anger had become so great she nearly threw Celestial's Soul at him , the most powerful attack a Fey could throw it would destroy any evil with a 200 mile radious, but it would also kill a Fey. It was never used unless there was no other option and the threat was about to bring great harm to the entire world, so why would she let her anger push her there?

She was glad Tigan had formed the cave, the moment it was sealed she felt normal again. She knew the tomb would not hold Siah, but atleast she had her head back under her control. "Thank you Tigan." She replied to the smiling Fairy.

Haelynn carried the unconscious Kady through the city gates. Her friend had fallen asleep overnight and hadn't woken up yet. Her breathing was shallow. She feared that her healing hadn't completely cured her.

The young princess was received by a mass of nurses and healers. They took Kady from her arms and rushed her into a nearby house. Haelynn tried to follow, but the women held her back.

"Let the healers do their job. They need it to be quiet. Leave them alone. We will come for you when they are finished." The woman who addressed her took on a worried expression. "I am sorry, Princess. I hope that the siege ends soon. Lady Keena will save your city, I promise."

Haelynn walked away and entered a nearby tavern. She addressed the man standing at the bar. "Are there any rooms available?"

The entire cave structure rose off of the ground. The stone and rocks of the earth floating hundreds of feet in the air. Siah stood unphased.

The rocks used to entomb him when soaring towards the city, over the walls and into its heart.

Now Siah's armour was glowing white-hot. His blade was hissing as the air aroung him became steam. Small flames shot out of the gaps in Siah's armour and black lightning encased him sending sparks and bolts at the ground around him.

Siah sent a powerful ten foot wall of flame out in a radius. It moved at high speed and heated the sands around him to turn them to glass. He then mumbeld and growled in ancient tongues...

Keena knew what attack was coming when she saw him like this, he had tried to use it ages ago to take out Zain's army. She pulled into herself and shot out a wave of white energy, it surrounded everything the flames would hit and absorbed them.

She fell to her knees as her side screamed, something was terribly wrong with her. Normally that move would have done nothing to her, but now it had drained her. She had saved most of the city and the lives of those around, that is except Siah's men, but the city had still been damaged and some lives had still been lost.

She looked at Siah through her damp hair as it fell over her face, still clutching her side that now bled through her fingers once more. However Keena still had enough energy to take care of herself, she would not except help from Siah again.

"W-what do you....hope to g-gain Siah?" She asked in a pain filled and tired voice.

Haelynn laid in her feather bed at the tavern. She was worried for Kady. It had been hours and she hadn't heard anything from the nurses. She got up and wandered down into the bar. There was shouting going on. It was a bar fight. There were four men facing one who was covered in a long, cream colored robe. He wore a staff on his back.

One of the men charged him, but the lone warrior dropped to his one knee and slammed his foot into the other mans ankle. The charging man wouldn't be able to stampede for a while.

Two others pulled out knives and attacked. At this, the defender flipped out his staff and knocked one man in the head, smashing him into the other. They landed on a table, crushing it into the ground.

The last man slid out a long sword, carefully approaching the skilled warrior. He jabbed and parried expertly, but the singular warrior dodged or blocked each blow easily. Haelynn received a quick glance at the man's face. It seemed oddly familiar. The final enemy was dispatched quickly. Two guards rushed into the tavern after hearing the noise.

"Spies, from the demon lord," he lied. Haelynn recognized the voice.

"Euthelis?"

Siah's voice was unearthly. His tongue was course and words were deep with venom. He laughed a throaty laugh as if a thousand legions laughed with him.

He walked up to Keena, she was weak and he was curious.

"Celestial, you have destroyed my army, but because of you..." Siah turned to look at the smoldering city and sorrounding forest. "...I have won more than just this war." Siah raised his hands and plunged them inot the ground. Two pillars rose up and a red liquid sloshed about between them in mid-air. Siah knelt next to the Celestial.

Without a word he picked her up over his shoulder and entered the portal. It collapsed behind him.

Keena had seen him coming, but something in her had not allowed her to move. Something had wanted him to come to her and now that he did she found herself slipping away into a black nothing as they passed through the portal. The last thing she saw was the fairy falling from her as Siah picked her up and the elven army standing with Destiny watching as she was taken to Gaia only knew where.

"P-please...don't hurt me..."She whispered to Siah as that side that had wanted him to come called out and then she fell into the void of nothing.

Lady Tigan fell to the ground as she half demon took the white haired lady away. Lady Tigan knew she had to do something, so she used the rest of her energy to fly over to Des and onto her shoulder. "The white haired lady was taken by the half demon." Lady Tigan said to Des, in hopes that she would be able to help.

Destiny looked at Tigan, she hadn't realized that Keena had been taken until she looked around, "We must continue to the city, but first we need to find the Elven princess."

Haelynn walked with Euthelis through the narrow streets of Haven. They had explained everything that had happened in the past 28 years. She felt the same way around him as she had when they first met - it hadn't changed at all.

They sat down at a tree next to a small cottage. She leaned her head on his shoulder. He placed his arm around her and rested his head on top of hers. She began to cry, fearing for Kady. He hugged her closely, and didn't let her go until her sobs dissipated.

The portal stood tall against the night sky. It was very early morning now and the rain was not pouring down quite so hard.

He walked a few steps forward and stood near a tree. Siah turned and waited for Keena for arrive through the portal herself.
He raised his right hand into the air and stared up at the sky a red light formed on each of his fingertips.
